New offices

Shoulder season means change for us and we have moved into our new offices downtown Golden! This year we purchased the Old Courthouse and are turning it into a Coworking Space for local and visiting professionals. "Coworking is a global movement to create innovative, collaborative and community driven workspaces that move beyond traditional work environments." Heli-Skiing is our winter passion but in order to plan, build and experience Best Day Ever, we have set some big goals for the future. Our team has taken "Building Sustainable Mountain Communities" on as a core focus. This community includes our guests, team, and those who pass through or settle in the mountains to enjoy its wealth. We are striving to improve the economic, environmental, general health and year-round quality of life for our mountain family, and that includes you. We have gigabit internet and a space for you to work if you want to spend a day or evening in Golden and do warm up laps at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort!

A great addition to our team since November 2018, Greg & Chantelle bring with them many years of Food & Beverage and Hospitality/Entertainment experience in all categories, including owning and operating their own award winning gastropub, Scroggie's Grillhouse & Bar in Ontario for 13 years, along with several successful entertainment venues, and co-founding and producing one of Canada's largest and longest running music festivals. More recently, they co-owned and operated GRS Property Maintenance in Whistler, BC which specialized in both full service renovation and electrical contracting, in addition to operating a property management and cleaning service division. Sue Gould industry stats

Our Guide Manager Sue Gould was just at the Spring Heli-Cat conference. Great Canadian is a proud partner, collaborating with other operators in the industry. Here are some stats from the entire industry in Canada last season; Average total skiers annually - 41,457. You are one of the special few! Average total skier days - 118,421. How many did you get in? This is a 26 % increase in skier participation and 20% growth in skier days over the previous 3 year average! 77.6% of all guests originate from outside of Canada. Please feel free to invite us to your community :) 50% of all guests extend their stay beyond their package by an average of 3.4 days. Come check out more of what the Powder Highway has to offer! Despite helicopter and snowcat skiing being viewed as a trip of a lifetime, 52% of helicat guests are return clientele. DID YOU BOOK YOUR 2020 YET? Revenues: Due to the multiplier effect of tourism expenditures within BC, every dollar of helicat expenditures results in an increase of $1.70 to the BC economy equalling $324.6 million in overall outputs within BC. Thank You for supporting your mountain family!
