Dispatcher Part Time for the Winter 2025/2026 Season
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Responsible for knowing and being able to communicate the whereabouts of all helicopters and all groups at any given moment during the day until all groups and helicopters are back at the lodge.
- Responsible for recording in the Daily Dispatch Log, one hour check-ins, on the hour, beginning at 9am, from Pilots and/or Lead Guides in the field throughout the day.
- Responsible for being familiar with the map location of all the heli ski zones and the usual runs skied in these zones. Training material and preseason overview will be provided.
- Using Spidertracks satellite tracking system. Training will be provided
- Relaying messages from the field to personnel at the lodge or office and vice versa.
- Being familiar with and implementing the Emergency Response Plan in the event of an Emergency in the field. Dispatchers will monitor the radio constantly throughout their work day to assure timely emergency response. Training will be provided on-site.
- Gather and organize photos from guests/ staff and upload a selection to our social media platform.
- Work collaboratively with the guiding team, sit in on daily guide meetings and offer input as to how the daily communications are going.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- ICS100 certification required
- Guest service experience is an asset
- Strong computer skills, ex; Google suite
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible with scheduling
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Highly organized and excellent troubleshooting skills
- Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Starting Wage and Compensation:
- $22 per hour
- Hourly based share of Great Canadian Heli-Skiing Tip Pool
- 3 consecutive 10 hours days a week
