How far would you go for a dream?
Do you possess an insatiable adventurous spirit? Is your horizon an ever-moving objective? There are some people out there who pursue their passion with tenacity and never stop exploring. [caption id="attachment_1542" align="aligncenter" width="960"]
Photograph from the Lindemann's collection.[/caption]The Lindemann family, guests here at Great Canadian Heli-skiing this week, chased their dream of heli-skiing and ultimate freedom in the mountains all the way from Essen, Germany to the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains in B.C. "In Austria you cannot ski in the trees," says Bernhard Lindemann, a skier with 38 seasons of skiing under his belt. And then he smiles: "Here there is total freedom." Bernhard Shreds the Gnar[/caption]At home in Germany Bernhard teaches mathematics and computer science in a local highschool. This trip was the family's first heli-ski trip and a dream come true. Bernhard came with his two sons, Marius and Sebastian.[caption id="attachment_1545" align="aligncenter" width="640"]

Sebastian has completed his studies and is working as an engineer. At 28 years old he has over two decades of skiing under his belt. Quiet and determined, the three have shredded nonstop since arriving here at Great Canadian. [caption id="attachment_1544" align="aligncenter" width="622"]

Marius going for it with style![/caption]They have explored the best of what this terrain has to offer, and come back at the end of the day to great food and a much deserved local beer (which they claim lives up to the beer back home!) at Heather Mountain Lodge. Cheers to Bernhard, Sebastian, and Marius for inspiring us all to keep on searching for our dreams and to live them!
