After a hard day of heli-skiing out in the mountains, you arrive back home at the lodge with tired legs and a HUGE grin on your face. But your day isn’t over yet – far from it! You’ve got a crew of extremely talented and psyched individuals waiting to hear your stories, offer you a brew, and serve you up some of the best food this country has to offer.

Peer the micro beers

Did you know that British Columbia has over 80 breweries that dedicate themselves to making the finest craft beer? Our beautiful province was not only the birthplace of heli-skiing, it was also the birthplace of craft beer in Canada! No wonder why we like our micro-breweries so much: they brew flavourful local beers with the same passion and dedication we have for skiing. Grab one at après-ski or stop by our Wolley Toque (tuque!) lounge and try them all!

Dan's heritage in conservation

Locally grown food is fresh, seasonal and simply the best. This is why our chef Dan Bracko created an amazing heritage food program for Great Canadian Heli-skiing at the Heather Mountain Lodge. In the summer, we grow as many vegetables as we can in our garden. We feed ducks in our pound and our chickens and rabbits run freely on our property. We preserve and can our harvest the old fashion way and enjoy it all winter long. So don’t be surprised to find a bit of our surroundings such as pickled spruce tips, red skunk currents, jellied cedar or even balsam jelly in your plate… because we do not only ski off our land, we also feed out of it!
